The project is located in the Bronx, New York, and consists of the New Construction of a Standalone Gym Annex for PS 205X. New York City School Construction Authority is providing the construction management, while the design is by MDSzerbaty & Associates. The superstructure of precast wall panels, bearing walls and steel joists is supported on spread footers. The project scope includes aluminum windows, wood flooring, resilient tiles and new MEP systems. Additionally, new gas, sewer and water services are being installed. The new storm drainage system includes a precast concrete detention tank with new yard drains and piping. A new PA System, Fire alarm and an Intrusion alarm will also be installed and commissioned. The construction is scheduled to be completed in December 2020.
